Fran Berry returns to domestic action on the polytrack at Dundalk following a spell in Japan, and he could well be among the winners on Friday evening.

Berry takes the mount on Excelli, who bids for a hat-trick in the This Is The Ladbrokes Life Handicap, with a competitive line-up of eight going to post in this mile event.

The six-year-old gelding has won four times in the past eight months, and has proved a real money-spinner since joining Aidan Howard on the Curragh last autumn. The son of Great Exhibition won twice over course and distance last month and despite a 17lb hike for those recent successes, should still give a good account.

Hat Alnasar, Poetic Choice and McGuigan are just three rivals to fear.

Wrap Star is another good ride for Berry in the mile-and-a-half Crowne Plaza Dundalk Race & Stay Package Maiden.

The Anthony McCann-trained gelding will have no stamina worries, having finished a decent third over two miles at York last summer. He reverts to the flat following a couple of hurdle outings, with Rocking The Blue and Belong the likely dangers.

Enzani really caught the eye when staying on strongly behind Wither Hills in the closing stages over the extended 10 furlongs here last Friday, and is one to note in the Download The Ladbrokes App Handicap.

Trainer John McConnell reported afterwards the gelding, purchased for €78,000 just before winning a maiden here in November 2014, has a history of respiratory problems but would appreciate a step back up in trip.

Killian Leonard is again in the saddle and Enzani could well reverse placings with runner-up Sharjah, while Ancient Sands and Carried also appeal in this mile-and-a-half affair.
