FROM December 1st-30th, Kiwi Country Clothing will have a ‘pop-up’ shop in 18 St Anne’s St. (above Tinnakeenly Leather) featuring a range of exclusive, stunning yet practical, New Zealand Possum Merino high-end fashion knitwear and tough outdoor work wear for suitable for anyone of the ‘outdoorsy’ persuasion (in particular farmers, horse-riders, farriers, vets etc).

Warmer than cashmere (45%) or merino (55%), Possum Merino, New Zealand’s wonder product, feels softer than mink to touch, is very durable, requires little or no washing, does not pill or ball and keeps body temperature at 36.6 degrees no matter how cold outside.

Considered an eco-friendly product, Possum fur fibres are highly regarded as effective solutions for hands and feet for those suffering from Type 2 Diabetes, Raynaud’s or general circulatory issues. The range includes hats, socks, gloves, slippers, mittens and sweaters.

Also available is a huge range of amazing Outback Oilskins jackets and coats - 100% waterproof high end rainwear – that do not tear on barbed wire, are 1200 gauge Egyptian cotton and 100% breathable.

Please note: Possum fur is a recycled product as possums are ethically culled by the Department of Conservation in New Zealand as they eat bird-life, strip its stunning natural forests of their vegetation, and carry TB. They are not native to New Zealand. Anything made from possum fur in New Zealand is deemed an eco-friendly product.
