EXULTANT, the Irish-bred son of Teofilo (Galileo) and the Mark Of Esteem (Darshaan) mare Contrary, brought his career earnings to over €7.5 million at the weekend when he captured his fourth Group 1, the FWD Queen Elizabeth II Cup.

Rated the champion stayer in Hong Kong last year, the six-year-old gelding, formerly known as Irishcorrespondent, was twice a winner for owner Belinda Strudwick’s Ballygallon Stud when trained by Michael Halford.
