THE North West Ireland Association of the Welsh Pony and Cob Society Overseas Medal Show was held at a new venue this year due to the unfortunate cancellation of the Connacht Spring Show at Ballinrobe raceourse. Upper Mace Equestrian Centre was the venue for the hastily rearranged show.

Gillian Sells of the Priestwood Stud in Shropshire, who has a wealth of experience including judging overseas and at the Royal Welsh Show, judged the Welsh ponies and was well satisfied with the standard of pony which stood in front of her and also the standard of production. There were in excess of 50 catalogued pure Welsh and part-bred Welsh ponies from all corners of the country presented for judging.
