Bred by Pat Gore out of his Kings Master mare Jockeyhall Touch Of Class, the bay newcomer, who always topped the line-up in his class, was taken on in the championship by his heavier stable companion, Cavalier Choice, who was second in Dublin last August, his only outing of the year.

Bought privately as a foal on the recommendation of Dessie Corr, this bay is by the Irish Sport Horse stallion West Coast Cavalier out of Pat Ranahan’s Baron de Chantepie mare, Castletown Cross. He was second in Walter Kent and Peter Richmond’s original line-up but moved up a place when last year’s RDS reserve champion, Bloomfield Eulogy, dropped to fourth.
