THE American jump season concluded last Saturday with the Colonial Cup meeting in Camden, South Carolina.

Four-time champion, Banbridge-born Paddy Young shared second place in the jockeys’ standings by number of races won, 14, with Ross Geraghty but, in third ($476,200), finished a place ahead of the Co Meath man ($446,155) on money won. Both tables were topped by Cork’s Willie McCarthy (23 winners, $735,400) with Robert Walsh placing second in the money won classification ($544,075).
