THE Northern Region’s cross-country course designer, Adam Stevenson, introduced a bounce to the five-year-old track at Wednesday’s third leg of the Young Event-Horse Series at his home venue, Tullylish.

In spite of concerns, this second-last fence rode well and the general consensus was that both tracks were a lot more horse friendly than last year. Poles did fall with regularity in the opening show jumping phase but, as often as they fell, the planks at three stayed in place despite taking some hefty blows.
