USEFUL chaser Peacocks Secret was sold yesterday for £21,000 at the Goffs UK December Sale.

Winner of two chases in October and November for trainer Shark Hanlon, the Annette Mee-owned six-year-old was going well when he fell at halfway in a handicap chase at Clonmel on Thursday. He was bought at Doncaster by agent J.D. Moore and owner T.J. McDonald, who has a horse in training with Hanlon.

Owner Craig Buckingham paid £36,000 to acquire flat handicapper Northwest Frontier out of Richard Fahey’s stable. German trainer Christian von der Recke, an agent for Goffs UK, bought handicapper Hakam for £30,000.

Full details of the sale will be carried in next week’s paper.
