THE admirable Peregrine Run maintained both his perfect start to the season and his unbeaten record at this track with a typically solid display in the J Donohoe BMW Chase where he made it four wins on the spin.

After a season that had already yielded a Grade 3 win at Killarney and a Mayo National success, the Peter Fahey stalwart looked to face quite a straightforward task with his rating of 157 putting him well clear of his five rivals for this two-and-a-half-mile affair. The prolific mare Mill Quest served up a stern test for the 10/11 favourite but the winning jockey Kevin Sexton looked happy from the turn-in that his mount had matters in hand and his faith in the son of King’s Theatre was rewarded.
