IRISH event riders won their first team and individual medals in the 28-year history of the World Equestrian Games last Monday afternoon in Tryon, North Carolina, USA.

Led by High Performance manager Sally Corscadden, the team of Sam Watson (Horseware Ardagh Highlight), Cathal Daniels (Rioghan Rua), Padraig McCarthy (Mr Chunky) and Sarah Ennis (Horseware Stellor Rebound) put the disappointing performances of past championships firmly to bed when producing world class performances over the three days of competition.
