THE Dandy Man gelding Warrior Display finally lived up to his name last Friday at Wolverhampton where the Stan Moore-trained bay won the extended nine-furlong handicap by a short-head under 7lb-claimer Aaron McKay.

Now a three-year-old, Warrior Display was bred by David and Leslie Laverty out of Clare Glen who was trained locally for Leslie by first Lee Smyth and then Sarah Dawson. The latter saddled the Sakhee mare to win four mile-and-a-half handicaps including the Guinness Handicap (Premier) at the 2011 Galway Festival.
