THERE were no northern-trained winners at Downpatrick but the in-form Warrenpoint farrier Mark O’Hare partnered the odds-on favourite, Timewaitsfornoone, to victory in the Boardsmill Sires Maiden Hunters Chase for trainer Alan Fleming. Winning owner Barry Connell was on hand to receive his prize from William and Barbara Flood.

The Keith Watson-trained He Knows My Name finished a length down in second in this race under Noel McParlan, whose achievement in winning the Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Handicap Chase at the Cheltenham Festival was recognised by Downpatrick. Peter Stewart, chairman of the racecourse directors, made a presentation to the Cabra amateur following the hunters’ chase.
