THERE are just two northern-produced entries in today’s Irish Thoroughbred Marketing racehorse to riding horse class at the Dublin Horse Show. Rachel Ferres’ Nanaimo and Mossbank who is owned by Gigginstown House Stud. Mossbank has spent the last few years being produced by Albert McDonald and ridden by Chloe Thompson.

Bred in Co Down by Billy McGladdery, the 18-year-old Kadeed gelding, is a veteran of this type of competition but also features in regular showing classes. The bay is one of four horses entered in the class who previously ran in the Gigginstown colours.The others being the 2016 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Don Cossack, who will be partnered by leading show horse producer Louise Lyons. The 2016 Grand National winner Rule The World, under Emily Taylor, and last year’s winner of the class, Un Atout, ridden by his owner, Alison Clancy.
