SATURDAY’s double at Farmacaffley helped lift the spirits of Derrylin trainer David Christie who “smashed” seven bones in his foot in a fall at home nearly six weeks ago.

“It’s going to be a bit of a long haul to get it right,” said David who watched the action at the point-to-point from the passenger seat of his lorry. “I’ve still got a fixator on the foot so I couldn’t risk trying to get around in the mud.
