AMONG the many Northern trainers who have made entries for the St Stephen’s Day meeting at Down Royal on Thursday is Noel Kelly who sent out Decor Irlandais to win the near two-and-a-half-mile novices’ hurdle at Catterick on Tuesday.

Owned by John Devine, the six-year-old French-bred gelding by Hello Sunday recorded his third success comfortably by two and a half lengths in the hands of Noel McParlan who finished fifth in the amateur handicap hurdle over the same trip on Walkers Point, who is trained by his father, Sean.
