ONE of the first people I met at Downpatrick last Friday was racecourse director Stephen Magee and, naturally enough, our first topic of conversation was the sad news of the death at Ludlow two days previously of Creevytennant.
The 2004 Bob’s Return gelding was first trained in Dromara by Neil McCluskey who is now more involved in producing young event horses. Neil, who is still breeding thoroughbreds and hopes to have a couple of pointers for the spring season, remembers buying the horse cheaply as a three-year-old as he had developed a dippy back after costing a bit as a foal.
