THE 2010 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner, Imperial Commander, displayed his wellbeing and booked a place in the Racehorse to Riding Horse class at next month’s Dublin Horse Show when winning the wildcard qualifier at Armagh Show on Saturday.

Ridden by Anna Ross, who was presented with the Laurence Duffin trophy, the 15-year-old Flemensfirth gelding was placed first in the line-up by judges Fionnula O’Reilly (ride) and Nanina di Brita (ground), ahead of Omars Day and The Waffler. There were 11 horses in the class, which was also a leg of the Down Royal Racecourse ex-racehorse league.
