ANDRE Fabre is keen to step Kitesurf up in class after her easy victory in the Group 2 Darley Prix de Pomone at Deauville.

Mickael Barzalona's companion, owned by Godolphin, had a lot of work to do turning into the straight but ended up with three and a half lengths in hand over Palombe.

Lisa-Jane Graffard of Godolphin said: "That was great – a perfect victory. There are no specific plans at the moment – we will see how she comes out of this race.

"The aim will be a Group 1, in which she will have step up her form again. On the evidence of this race, she is still improving. She is versatile as far as distance and ground are concerned, with a mile and a half on a right-handed track probably being best.

"Mr Fabre thinks going right-handed is important for Kitesurf, who is a big, long-striding filly and therefore suited by a galloping track," Graffard told www.godolphin.com.

Holdthasigreen defeated the Hughie Morrison-trained duo of Marmelo and Nearly Caught to claim the Group 2 honours in the Darley Prix Kergorlay.

The British raiders had won the race between them for the last two years but had no answer to the Bruno Audouin-trained winner.

Oriental Eagle made the running and was seven lengths clear at one stage until reeled in by the pack.

Tony Piccone made a decisive move when kicking in turning for home on Holdthasigreen and though Marmelo and Nearly Caught tried to mount challenges, they could not get close enough to the leader.
