THREE of the most fancied runners in Saturday's Kentucky Derby have been drawn in wide stalls with the favourite Tiz The Law breaking from stall 17.

The Santa Anita Derby winner Honor A. P. will be to his inside in 16, and the Bob Baffert-trained Haskell Stakes.winner Authentic was assigned the far outside 18 draw during Tuesday morning’s draw. Baffert's other runner Thousand Words is in stall 10.

The race also lost a major contender earlier in the morning when Blue Grass Stakes winner Art Collector was ruled out due to a minor foot issue.

His exit left 18 three-year-olds for the mile and a quarter race, worth $3 million, which has a post time of 12.02pm GMT.

With a new 20-stall starting gate in place but only 18 starters, stalls one and 20 will be empty.

The Barclay Tagg-trained Tiz The Law has a perfect record in this season with convincing wins in the Grade 1 Florida Derby, Belmont Stakes and most recently in the Travers Stakes. He is bidding for a second Run for the Roses win for trainer Tagg and New York owners the Sackatoga Stables.

No Derby favourite has been odds-on the morning line since Easy Goer in 1989, and Tiz The Law’s price is the lowest since Empire Maker was set at 6/5 in 2003.
