PAT Doyle is renowned for producing quality young horses and he introduced another impressive winning debutant in the shape of Bob Olinger (5/2 - 7/2), in division two of the four-year-old maiden. A very well-bred son of Sholokhov, being a half-brother to track winners Myska, Daring Carlotta and Six Gun Serenade, he was prominent throughout before defeating Mount Oscar by 15 lengths.

Doyle said after the race: “He’s a smashing horse and I thought the world of him all year and we just weren’t having a lot of luck. I didn’t know what was going to happen today! Ken Parkhill owns him, and also bred him, and luckily enough I have a share in him as well.”
