JCB Triumph Hurdle hero Ivanovich Gorbatov is set to return to Britain for next month's Grand National meeting at Aintree.

The son of Montjeu was hugely impressive on his hurdling debut at Leopardstown over Christmas and while he disappointed in February's Spring Juvenile Hurdle, he bounced back to form to land the juvenile championship at the Cheltenham Festival.

The JP McManus-owned four-year-old is officially trained by Aidan O'Brien, but is essentially looked after by his son Joseph.

O'Brien junior said: " He seemed to come out of Cheltenham very well and will go to Aintree all being well. "It was a very special day and we enjoyed it."
