TRIP To Paris is set to take his chance in the Palmerstown House Estate Irish St Leger at the Curragh on Sunday after being taken out of Friday's Doncaster Cup at the final declaration stage.

Last year's Ascot Gold Cup hero has been steadily brought back to top form by trainer Ed Dunlop after missing the first half of the season through an injury incurred in the Japan Cup.

"We think a mile and six furlongs is what he's looking for at the moment and while we are very aware that the favourite (Order Of St George) will be very hard to beat, we've decided to let Trip To Paris take his chance," said Dunlop's assistant Tim Hyde.

"It is a race worth a lot of money and we are looking forward to running him. Hopefully he'll run a big race."
