JIM Bolger, Joe Foley, Richard Aston and Brendan Holland are among the major thoroughbred industry figures who will be giving their views at the Gain Equine Nutrition and Alltech Equine Summit which takes place on Thursday, November 9th in the Keadeen Hotel, Newbridge, Co Kildare.

Organised in association with Grant Thornton and The Irish Field, the event marks the first time the thoroughbred and sport horse sectors will come together for a series of presentations and interactive panel discussions with equine experts and industry leaders.

The exciting line-up of speakers and panellists includes high-profile industry figures from the racing, bloodstock and sport horse worlds. The Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed, TD, will address attendees.

The central theme of the summit, ‘Striving for Global Excellence’, will be incorporated into a plenary discussion entitled ‘How can we evolve, compete and lead the global equine industry – can we collaborate to overcome the challenges?’

This will be chaired by Leo Powell of The Irish Field, and will feature Brian Kavanagh (Horse Racing Ireland), Ronan Murphy (Horse Sport Ireland), Noel Cawley, (Teagasc) and Meta Osborne, senior steward of the Turf Club.

A thoroughbred breakout session will be chaired by Lorna Fowler and will involve Jim Bolger, Joe Foley of Ballyhane Stud, Richard Aston of Goldford Stud and Brendan Holland, Grove Stud.

The event starts at 3pm and dinner is included in the €55 ticket price.
