IN a busy few days in the jumps racing world, there were plenty of performances vying for top billing, but in time terms one stood out above all others, and that was the win of Apple’s Jade in the Baroneracing.com Hatton’s Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse on Sunday.

It was a performance of complete dominance from a mare who has looked out of the top drawer from time to time but never quite to the degree she did here. It is difficult to believe that all of Supasundae, Limini, Bapaume and Farclas were well below form. But that is what Apple’s Jade made them look to be.
