Over 40 breeders and individuals were invited to discuss both the current state and way forward for traditional breeding in think-tank sessions, focussing on breeding, training and marketing, before the groups joined up to deliver their findings in the afternoon.

Recent seminars have focused mainly on the breeding and production of international show jumpers and with a growing number of breeders switching to continental sires for commercial youngstock, it was interesting to see where traditional breeders felt their product fitted into current markets.
