We couldn’t be prouder to have bred State of Rest. It takes a village to raise a horse as good as him so his win is a testament to years of horsemanship from the whole Tinnakill team. See you in the Owners and Trainers car park for one hell of a party.

These animals can get to places inside you that very little else can reach. Totally lost the run of myself during and after that race, but that was very, very special. What that horse has done in the last 12 months has been utterly remarkable. One of the very best in the world.

Rajiv Maragh@RajivMaragh

How can they consider NOT DQ the Ridler at Ascot. This is automatic. [former US rider gives his opinion]

Ben Bighinatti@kessempower

If Irad was on that horse, he would have been arrested.

Should be buzzin to see a 50s shot for small connections win at Royal Ascot but it’s grim how backwards our rules are, how is it right that you’re far better off committing a serious offence and costing rivals 3/4 lengths than giving them an accidental bump and costing them a head.

Adam Fearon@MaybeSoYouThink

The fact The Ridler has kept that race is appalling! The horse NEEDS to be thrown out or rides like what Paul Hannigan gave today will just keep happening! How is that NOT considered dangerous riding I’ll never know? Does a horse or jockey need to die before that happens?

John Berry@JohnWathenBerry

Amazing that stewards can have decided so quickly that that wasn’t dangerous riding. (It looked dangerous to me). They must have made that decision already as they’ve said that the result stands. (Dangerous riding brings disqualification). This isn’t taking stewarding seriously.
