THE Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe was happily given prime time coverage on ITV last week and a total of 940,000 viewers tuned in. That seemed a decent number. Racing was given two and a half hours of exposure, though the programme was a tad dull as the presenters were studio-based at Ascot racecourse and much of the energy and buzz of being at the Paris track was missing.
