A COMMENT from those assembled on the viewing balcony mid-way through the card at Naas last Sunday will have brought pleasure to the racecourse team.

“The half of Naas is in there!” was the comment from a lady in my company. While I’m not sure if that was true, it will have been music to the ears of the Naas board as, in his opening address, chairman Dermot Cantillon described the new building as a facility for the people of Naas.
