IF you drive through the village of Moone on a cold, frosty Monday morning in December, the realisation dawns that something amazing occurred here last March. There’s not a sinner in sight. But a mile up the road, there lives a horse, and on a Sunday evening last March, thousands thronged the street to welcome the latest Irish-trained Gold Cup winner home. It made the front page of The Irish Times and Irish Independent.

Bring the horse to the people and they will come to see him but how do we bring the people to the horse?
