LOCKDOWN – Week 57, year two. What day is it? After the euphoria of Cheltenham, the feel good factor of Fairyhouse and the brilliance of the Grand National, this racing week felt like we’d dropped down a few levels from that excitement in our sport. Despite a terrific Punchestown around the corner, it seemed a long week of lockdown fatigue.

Pre Cheltenham we had a fair old downer with the Tramore doping and Elliott incidents making headlines for weeks and putting racing under the kosh in the media.
