The likes of Chelsea Harbour and Made In Taipan were very decent horses and both won multiple times – the latter was good enough to finish fourth in an Arkle at Cheltenham.

They were the first of my father’s horses that I can remember seeing race and I was fortunate to be part of that experience. I regularly went with him to the races and to see his horses on the gallops, so I suppose it was no great surprise that from an early age I wanted to become a jockey.
