The end of the Galway Festival is in sight and it has been an incredible week for Tote customers. Josephine O’Dea was the winner of €40,000 in our Live The Dream promotion and on each day of the Festival, we had a Grab-A-Grand draw that gave away €1,000 to a randomly-drawn customer that had entered a losing Tote ticket into the draw drum. As always, the Pick 6, Placepot and Jackpot have been paying very well all week and with prizes guaranteed for €100,000, €30,000 and €15,000 tomorrow, there is one last chance for Tote customers to strike it lucky at Galway.

The Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle (2.15) is perhaps the most difficult race on the entire card, so being well covered is a must. The Dermot Weld-trained Pacelli Road, the Tony Martin-trained Spacious Sky and the Garrett Power-trained Lilly The Lioness all have appealing profiles.

The Vision Express Handicap Hurdle (2.45) has a couple standing out from the pack. The John Kiely-trained The Parishioner has been progressing nicely of late and the Robert Tyner-trained Boss Croaker has conditions to suit and looks well handicapped. Taking just two runners in such a competitive race is risky, but hopefully it will pay off.

The At The Races Beginners Chase (3.20) features the Tony Martin-trained Ted Veale who could well be worth banking on. The seven-year-old has acquired plenty of experience over fences at a much higher level than this and this is a good opportunity for him to get off the mark over the larger obstacles.

The Lord Hemphill Memorial Handicap Chase (3:55) is yet another challenging handicap and taking three against the field is probably the right course of action. The Tom Gibney-trained Orpheus Valley, the Dessie Hughes-trained Nearly Nama’d and the Noel Meade-trained Formidableopponent all appeal.

The Irish Stallion Farms EBF ‘Ahonoora’ Handicap (4.30) is a competitive contest made all the trickier by the fact that many of the form picks are poorly drawn.

With that in mind, it is worth siding with the Tracey Collins-trained Captain Joy and the David Wachman-trained Hidden Oasis. Of those with a poor draw, it may be worth including the Dermot Weld-trained Sparkle Factor.

The Galway Shopping Centre Handicap (5.00) is a challenging final leg and a chance is taken on two runners. The Iggy Madden-trained Cairdiuil won here earlier in the week and having been gifted another good draw, he could well strike again. Another that makes appeal is the Patrick Martin-trained Togoville as he got off the mark at Roscommon last time.
