THERE was a premium on parking space on day one of the Tattersalls July Show last Saturday which was mainly due to the first staging in Ireland of a Dubarry Burghley young event horse qualifier.

This was the ideal venue for the competition as Tattersalls Ireland were very much behind the Future Event Horse League back in the day and staged the final for many years. At that time, League winners were sponsored by the FEHL to travel to Burghley where they had an invitation to compete in the final.
