THE final six lots from Brittas House Stud, the dispersal of the bloodstock interests of the late Peter Magnier who died in January 2019, were sold online through Tattersalls this week. The farm enjoyed some great days, and its most successful family featured again at this week’s auction.

One mare shines brightly in the story of successes Peter Magnier enjoyed. A winner at three in France, the Irish River mare Brigid was purchased for 140,000gns in 1995 carrying a full-sister in blood to Group 1 winner Dolphin Street. She would go on to breed six winners, half of them stakes winners, including the Group 1 winning full-sisters Sequoyah and Listen, both daughters of Sadler’s Wells.
