BRITAIN’s Oliver Townend couldn’t compete at Tattersalls last week following a fall with one of his young horses at Bishop Burton the previous Sunday but he wasn’t the only one from his Shropshire yard going around with a fresh plaster on their arm.

The USA’s Jenny Caras, who was hoping to make her competitive debut at the Co Meath venue this year with two horses, Fernhill Fortitude in the George Mernagh Memorial CCI4*-S and Trendy Fernhill in the Connolly’s Red Mills CCIU253*-L, was also on the injured list having broken and dislocated her wrist on Monday while pulling a mane.
