IN the face of a potentially seismic and grave last minute hitch the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale bounced back to pre Covid-19 levels with a good set of results that were probably beyond the expectations of everyone on Tuesday evening.

At that point of the week the news emerged that most purchasers from across the Irish Sea would be unable to attend the sale in person after the Irish government revoked the UK ‘essential bubble’ due to increasing concerns surrounding the Delta variant of Covid-19.
