IT’S hard to believes that it’s 32 years since Michael Halford’s last runner in the Irish Derby and as we got closer to today’s contest, he is enjoying the build up to what looks a quality renewal of the colts’ classic.

“I was sent Fighting Hard not that long after I started training by Seamus Purcell, owned him. Squibs Curran ride him and he was grand horse that won his maiden. Seamus told me that he was in the Derby and to let him take his chance.
