The Grade 2 Killiney Novices Chase at Leopardstown was a red-hot contest this year according to my ratings.
Rule The World (41) clocked a Grade 1-time when romping home in the Grade 2 Limestone Lad Hurdle at Naas.
The Grade 2 Kinloch Brae Chase was a tricky contest to analyse as it featured a field that looked very closely matched.
One problem with novice races is that very often the runners go a bit slow early.
On reflection I shouldn't have worried whether Leopardstown's chase course was big enough for Bobs Worth (35-pace adjusted 40) to show the same form he has at Newbury.
