Swail and Susan and Ariel Grange’s 11-year-old stallion (by Guidam) sealed the win when posting a double clear in a blistering 44.25 seconds.

Out of 42 starting combinations, only eight jumped clear in the winning round competition including Spain’s Sergio Alvarez Moya and Carlo 273 while Daniel Neilson represented Britain and Leon Thijssen flew the flag for The Netherlands. In the final line-up, Chile’s Samuel Parot and Quick du Pottier took second place in a time of 44.75 while Brazil’s Bernando Alves was third on Starling 7. Sergio Alvarez Moya and Carlo 273 had to eventually settle for fourth after posting a time of 46.80 while Neilson was fifth, clear in 46.87 while Thijssen was sixth, clear in 47.08.
