AS expected, challenging trading conditions prevailed on the opening day of the Goffs Autumn Yearling Sale which produced a top lot of €52,000 but couldn’t come close to the returns from 12 months ago.

Over the course of the autumn, various non select yearling sales at the lower tiers of the market have witnessed some tough trade through a combination of over-supply and subdued demand and those trends manifested themselves over the course of today’s sale.
