THERE was a certain amount of head-scratching at Goresbridge last week, where a buoyant, yet highly unpredictable trade produced an improved set of returns. Several stunning individuals contributed to the upturn, none more so than a son of Heritage Fortunas, who headed the final figures at €14,000. A further eight lots realised five-figure returns, producing a notable hike in average in both the three and four-year-old sectors. The latter age group also gained ground in terms of clearance 62% (54%) while the younger stock disappointingly dipped to 43% (50%).
