Once again western exhibitors swept the Irish Draught championships at Dublin with Wexford owner Ann Lambert and her performance champion Killinick Bouncer’s win on the opening day preventing a complete haul. The countdown to the second of the Irish Draught championships began the following afternoon when the opening class for three and four-year-old mares went to Strictly Come Bouncing, produced by Liam Lynskey for her Foxford breeder Sean Ruane.

Amongst the keen spectators was Peter McHugh, who had owned the grandam of this four-year-old mare, who is by Lynskey’s own Moylough Bouncer. A consistent winner, Strictly Come Bouncing had won the Mare of the Future final at the IDHS national show at Ballinasloe the previous Sunday.
