GER and John Lyttle, plus their son Charlie, are among the staunchest supporters of eventing in Ireland so it was great to see their Ballylee Roller win the Equijump event pony class at the Stepping Stones to Success league in Wexford Equestrian on Tuesday.

“I had been looking for a pony for some time when Padraic Curran of Glencarrig Connemaras rang and said he’d bought an unbroken three-year-old for me!” said Ger. “We put him out when we got him home and he was broken the following year by James O’Haire who did a great job with him. John has done all the flat with the pony so he was well-schooled when he went to Tullibards Stud.
