THE Cheltenham Festival is nearly upon us once again and it’s a really exciting time of the year. The Twiston-Davies team looks to be heading in to festival week with a strong hand, headed by The New One and Bristol De Mai. They will be backed up by a host of other runners with the yard expected to be represented in many of the handicap chases.

Obviously I’ve had my eyes on the amateur races for quite some time. The yard has a good record in these events and once again they have some decent performers entered. Bally Beaufort looks most likely to head for the National Hunt chase. The four mile trip will really suit and the former pointer who beat Outlander at Lisronagh should be up to running a really solid race.
