SHE looked as though she could be a mare on the up when scoring on her handicap hurdle debut at Punchestown in late May and Gavin Cromwell’s Call Me Dolly confirmed that impression by following up in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Novice Handicap Hurdle.

This Albert Douglas-owned and -bred daughter of Gale Force Ten had to contend with a 7lbs rise in the weights and was taking on a number of in-form rivals, but she rose to the challenge at hand in good style to defy her position as the second longest-priced runner in the field.
