Snow Sky landed the Group 3 Neptune Investment Management Gordon Stakes by a hard-fought neck from strong-finishing and unlucky Windshear with long-time leader Somewhat only a head behind.

Goodwood has had its share of untidy finishes and there was nothing clear-cut about Snow Sky’s victory because Windshear met trouble two furlongs out and was then obliged to switch left inside the final furlong. Snow Sky himself moved up to the gallant Somewhat but veered towards and away from him again before opening up a narrow but decisive lead. Like Kingman he carried the colours of Khalid Abdullah.
