THE champion two-year-old in France in 2015, when he was unbeaten in three starts, Ultra won the Group 1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere (formerly the Grand Criterium) in record time. In 2018 he joined his sire Manduro at the Haras du Logis in Normandy where he is now standing his third season at the very reasonable fee of €7,000. Only two of his first foals were sold in 2019, but one fetched €28,000.

Home-bred by Godolphin and trained by Andre Fabre, Ultra made a winning debut over seven furlongs at Clairefontaine in July 2015 and then had a similarly easy win in the Prix de Blaison over a mile at Longchamp in September.
