A CHAMPION in both his seasons on the racecourse, Gleneagles made an excellent start as a stallion with his first runners in 2019. He was third on the list of leading first-crop sires in Europe in financial terms with €645,680, and fourth by number of winners with 24, who won 31 races.

His son Royal Lytham won the Group 2 July Stakes at Newmarket and was third in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes, while Royal Dornoch was also a Group 2 star at Newmarket, scoring in the Royal Lodge Stakes, and finished third in the Group 2 Richmond Stakes. Earlier, Southern Hills had taken the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot, while four more of his youngsters were blacktype placed.
