BY the time that Big Bad Bob arrived at the Irish National Stud in 2011, he had already made quite a name for himself with his first two crops racing in 2009 and 2010 when, from only 28 runners, he had sired 14 individual winners of 25 races and around €410,000 in prize money. Four years later and the prize money has soared up to more than €2,250,000, from another 78 victories. He has sired a very high percentage of winners to foals.

There is no shortage of quality as Big Bad Bob now has seven blacktype winners to his credit. His daughter Berg Bahn won the Group 3 Brownstown Stakes at Fairyhouse and was third in the UAE 1000 Guineas and fourth in the UAE Oaks in Dubai. Bible Belt won the Group 3 Dance Design Stakes at the Curragh and was second in a Group 2 at Ascot, while Brendan Brackan scored in the Group 3 Solonaway Stakes at the Curragh and a listed race, besides running second in three more group races. Bible Black, Bob Le Beau and Backbench Blues were all listed winners in Ireland while Cherie Good won a listed race in Rome.
