THE fastest timefigure of any age in Britain and Ireland in the period under review came from the admirable Jet Setting, who wiped the floor with her rivals in the Coolmore Stud Home of Champions Concorde Stakes on rain-softened ground at Tipperary.

The slight caveat is that this was one of only three flat races on the card so time analysis may not be the most robust. But Jet Setting ran the extended seven furlongs in a time 1.68s quicker than did the useful older handicapper Downforce 35 minutes later and her 114 timefigure is conservative if anything.
